Phew! The November Croptoberfest/Overnight just wrapped up and I am starting to come up for air! What a great weekend it was and it makes me sit back and appreciate all the hard work that goes into it – not just on my end but yours too! What a great opportunity it presents for my customers to share ideas with others over the weekend and I get reinvested into this business all over again! You’ve heard me say this so many times so I thought for a change I’d have a customer of mine tell you what she thought of the weekend!
FROM MY CUSTOMER TRICIA:
“I usually go only to the March overnight weekend as November is generally a crazy month for me but this year I was able to go all day on Saturday. I was hesitant on whether a day trip to Seekonk would be worth it and it was so worth it! Not only did I get a lot of my own scrapbooking accomplished, I met some great people, got some fantastic ideas, ate delicious food and ended the day with a renewed vigor of working on my albums! One of the products being showcased this year is the Border Maker System. If you CLICK HERE you can check this out for yourself. It is amazing! I was given this as a gift last year for Christmas – I asked for it and had no idea really what it was but I wanted it! Since then I have played with it here and there and grab every new cartridge when it comes out and the ideas that were shared last Saturday makes this a MUST-HAVE for every paper crafter! Add it to your holiday wish list because you need to get it now and grab all the cartridges because they have already discontinued some! The other reason I love these events is for the Cricut machines! I have owned a Cricut machine for a number of years now and have accumulated about 15 cartridges. I always shy away from the multi-layered pictures and stick with the fonts for titles. When I saw how easy and adorable some of the paper pieces everyone was making last week I had to get in on it too! When I got home, I tried a couple and with a little patience I made the cutest Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet! (see the picture below!) Had I not gone I would never have attempted these! So worth it! This year Carol and her team did something different - a LIVE auction! This was so clever and fun! A whole bunch of old CM products - stickers, makers, paper etc - were auctioned off to the highest bidder. I scored numerous sheets of the old letter/number stickers in a ton of colors for only $25! Keep your eye out for the March event and put it in your calendar. You will be so happy you did!”
Thanks, Tricia! I am tentatively scheduling my next overnight weekend for first weekend in March at The Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, MA. I am open to suggestions of any other places that might be worth it and please let me know! I hope to have this finalized by the holidays and can send out a message at that time.
In the meantime, keep checking back on my Blog, Facebook page and your emails for workshops and specials! I will post some border ideas as well from this past weekend soon!
